Hi all!
Im once again updating here as blogger has some problems with posting and I cant even upload any pics there. Im finally done with my exams on tues and had a massage session on wednesday. How cool is that? Tired and lethargic from NDP and also stressed because of exams, and had a cosy time relaxing with the massages though it was quite painful this time round, but the masseur said a few more visits and Im well to go!
And on friday, went to vivocity with mum and sis for a short lunch session at carl's junior and sis ordered two burgers which was sufficient for the three of us! It's much much more better than macs! Im kinda scared of macs already. Mum got herself two pants at marks and spencer thereafter and we headed home, it was a short trip out but it made my day as I love to spend time with the two lovelies.
Once I got up on a saturday morning, I did something great. I raised funds for TOUCH community services. Woots! It's all happening at dhoby ghaut area all the way to somerset, we had lunch at the nearby Plaza Sing kopitiam and even went to the arcarde to see who's better at the basketball machine. I think Im gonna play that when Im in Genting. The Cathay was our last stop and the 4 gals watched the proposal together. Not a bad movie though. I guess we all spent a great time together. But before that, we even had Ben and Jerry's ice cream. How sinful.. the two babes, Chavonne and Faith actually asked for three flavours together in one tub. Hope there will be more outings with the NDP peeps. It was a very enriching day I had with them.
2 weeks ago.. At Touch Community Centre..
i've moved back to:
http://patriciaclaudinechua.blogspot.com
Im getting sick staying at home and rotting though I've lotsa things to get busy with at home.
and finally I'm out.
saw alot of people graduating from RP today.(RP's graduation ceremony is held today!).
It will be my turn in another 2 years time.
but the thing is, wheres my direction?
Im doing Pharmaceutical Sciences but it doesnt mean I can be a qualified pharmacist after getting out.
Maybe a Pharmacy Assistant is appropriate, but my ambition(I know its dull to still have this thinking now) is to be a qualified pharmacist.
but, I love doing researching, experimenting and knowing more about scientific theories and stuff.
went to school today and talked alot to my IG(pharmacy) in charge. She had honours in pharmacy and I asked her, are there any graduants that went into NUS? And all she said was, most of them flew to aussie to study(university of queensland), but theres no way of me going to aussie. I want to learn in Singapore, because its my homeland and I realised that $150m has been invested in cell biology again! So i asked, I still dont quite understand the difference between biomedical science and pharmaceutical science, and I realised that the only difference between biomedical sciences and pharmaceutical sciences in RP is the 2 core modules, meaning, we take all modules the same except those two. And I heard from my uncle that FusionPolis(which is beside Biopolis) is going to be ready in 2011 maybe? Really hope that I could be a one of them one day. Im loving RP each and everyday. My friend scored 3.8 in RP(biomed) but rejected the NUS scholarship~ dont want give me la!! I dont know why, I simply love new schools! It has been a great journey to study at college east. Lecturers there. They are really kind to impart their knowledge out of their precious time, okay some not all! Grinz. Talking about new schools, will the new changi university be recognised by the government? Hmmm, another route. I just want to soar high. I hate working, but I know that its a no-no to keep relying on your parents. Know what is right and wrong. I will never let people who have encouraged me throughout all this years suffer! I want to thank the Lord for His greatness and I know that He lives in my heart. No matter how, no matter where, I know that I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Always look onto the bright side of Life!
Get a Life people!
My mum was discussing with me about being a nurse as there are a lack of nurses in Singapore. Being a nurse aint easy. They have reports to write okay! I may consider this route too. I hate reports but I grew accustomed to it as we have to write reflection journals everyday in RP, it has been considered a routine to me already!
P.S: Im having problems with using blogger, thus, this new LiveJournal. Hope it brings out the new me. =)
I'm back! =) had a relaxing trip and I enjoyed times with sis and mum. =)
here are some pictures I took during the trip.
Day 1:
went to this restaurant on the first day for lunch..
rested, and gosh!
their bed is so comfy! Haha.
and I'm quite happy with the SCV they subscribe there.
I went on SuperStar Virgo at 2001 but they did not have SCV at the time.
laze around and had dinner at Mediterranean Buffet.
the food was not to my liking but had to bear with it.
I know my hair looks very messy here,
I really love clouds.
After dinner,
we went to The Lido to catch Bella Bellune(I forgot the name)
It was okay.(at least better that what I watched in 2001)
Day 2:
Penang!
we reached at 12noon.
And yes, it was scorching!
me and sis.
wanted to have Penang Laksa, but when I saw their hygiene, I got the better of me and said no!
I still prefer Katong's Laksa. Haha.
The weather in Penang is way too hot.
We went hunting for food and mum and aunt went to get their Him Heang's tao sa pia.
We couldn't stand the weather and wanted to get back to the ship,
the taxi driver charged my uncle way too much man! =(
If we had known, we would rather use Bus 11.
A picture of the Police Station in Penang:
we reached the ship at approximately 4pm.
the ship departed at 8pm.
Day 3:
Reached Phuket(Hat Patong) at 7plus going 8am.
I was shocked.
During my visit in 2001,
it was a beautiful beach.
After the tsunami in 2004,
it became..
A plain land, with people selling goods.
It's like Singapore's Pasar Malam.
We've been going to the Mediterranean Buffet for almost all our meals.
Got sick of it.
And by the way,
I'm quite contended with the shows at the Lido.
like Sports Unlimited.
Sun setting:
Day 4:
had late breakfast at the Mediterranean and thereafter went to catch the last show whereby the crew prepared for us.
The Land of Make Believe.
It was good. Could see that they put in a lot of effort.
they did not sleep the previous night just to put on the show for us.
Thumbs up! Keep it up!~
=)
After the show, toured the ship.
and rested again and had early dinner at the Pavillion.
packed up everything and waited for the ship to reach my homeland, Singapore!
An enjoyable trip!
=)
Monday, 16march.
went to Junction 8 with mum and had lunch and did some shopping at POPULAR's sale. went to get tickets to Marley and Me before heading to the library. borrowed a number of books and I scared the wits out of my mum when I borrowed the fertility technology book. She's scared but I'm not. Marley and Me was great, I love the dog's loyalty to their owners though he is very agressive. was out the entire day and yes, both of us were very tired when we got home.
Tuesday, 17march.
went to have lunch at the newly open food court at sembawang mrt station, it was their first day opening. Thereafter, coached my cousin with her schoolwork. After coaching, went to the newly renovated sembawang shopping centre to have a look. Mum bought alot of things from daiso. Had a great talk with both my aunties, had to catch up with them. They taught me alot of lessons which I still ought to learn.
Wednesday, 18march.
went to give my cousin tuition in her english. After that, she told us her ez link card was lost and we had to go to AMK hub to replace but she forgotten to bring along her identification card, so it was a wasted trip to them, but anyhow, we walked around and I began to learn alot of things which I do not know about my cousin. Getting in depth with her is good.
Thursday, 19march.
Stayed at home the entire day because mum hired workers to do up a wall at home. Very dusty indeed. All I did was eat, sleep and sew. I'm getting addicted to sewing. Is this good or bad? Grinz*.
Friday, 20march.
Lazed around at home and waited for the workers to finish up the wall. Dad brought us to suntec to catch DragonBall Evolution, of course this is free. The storyline is kind of outrageous but the effects are good. Before the movie started, we went to get another 2 FBTs as carrefour was having a clearance sale.
Saturday, 21march.
Went out with dad and mum to get furniture, and yes, a furniture has to be decided upon both parties. If they like, I guess me and sis will like it too.
Sis went to sentosa, and its was pouring just now. Going to sentosa, please check the weather forecast babe. She just came back from Bintan as she went to her school's camp and once again, she turned chao-ta! Lol.
Alrights.
I will be heading to choa chu kang tomorrow to visit my grandparent's tomb. Really miss my grandma alot.
Next week's, gonna be hectic, will update soon.
Phuket and Penang, here I come! =)
i was recklessly trying to get into blogger and i realised blogger is pissing me off.
decided to make a brand new journal instead and start this brand new journal with smiles.
i was thinking of doing up photos of my friends and I in the past.
showing one:
i was thinking about the days in ITE which i really cared.
even for the friends whom i lost contact with.
but thanks to msn i managed to get some on calling.
the days in ITE:
going into the days in poly means more freedom i guess.
when i was in ITE, i went to school everyday.
really.
sometimes skipping those sports and wellness lessons as the interval is kinda long.
but I guess this is what everyone has to go through.
different intervals of life.
the different intervals of life make me realized that everyone has to learn.
making it possible for everyone to learn in that conducive environment.
I've learn a lot during the 1st year in RP and thus now going on to the 2nd year.
2 more years and I will be heading to my next destination.
hopeful!*
- Mood:
peaceful
